ACT IV Productions is FUSP's community theatre group. It had its inception in 1992, when some members were trying to raise funds for some facility improvements. They decided on a dinner and music program, and Norm Krisburg was enlisted to direct the music part. The program was such a success that Norm suggested forming a theatre group, which he then directed for several years. Their first production was Studs Terkel's “Working”, which included a large cast of church members. Originally envisioned as an in-church group, ACT IV rapidly enlarged its scope to a point where they are now attracting members and audiences, as well as high quality actors, from many communities in the central New Jersey area. The quality of the productions has been improving continuously over the years, and ACT IV has become a true community theatre.
Some past productions include: You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; Baby; Arsenic and Old Lace; The Odd Couple (Female Version); Plaza Suite; How to Succeed in Business; Nunsense; Driving Miss Daisy; Lend Me a Tenor; Dracula; Morning's at Seven; The Fantasticks; and, most recently, Sylvia.
We welcome all -- both church members and members of the community to participate in ACT IV.
